Home Watch Services in Port St. Lucie

Home Watch Services in Port St. Lucie

Your home is checked, secured and reported on while you’re away. We visit on your schedule, inspect inside and out, and send you photos after every visit, so you’ll know about a small problem before it becomes an expensive one.

Why an Empty Florida Home Needs Regular Checks

An empty home in Florida doesn’t stay trouble-free for long. Heat and humidity mean a failed AC unit or a slow leak can lead to mold within days. Summer storms, pests and lawn growth all show up fast, and an obviously empty house can attract unwanted attention.

We own vacation homes here ourselves and have managed them from the other side of the Atlantic. Regular checks are how we sleep at night, and they’re how you can too.

How Often We Visit

Choose weekly, every two weeks or monthly, or book one-off checks when you need them. Most owners of vacant homes choose weekly or fortnightly, particularly during hurricane season (June 1 to November 30), when we also offer storm preparation and post-storm checks. Some insurance policies also expect regular checks on unoccupied homes, so it’s worth checking yours.

When Something Needs Fixing

If a visit finds a problem, we tell you straight away with photos. With your approval, we arrange and supervise the repair using trusted local trades, so you don’t have to find a plumber from out of state or overseas.

  • Storm preparation and post-storm inspection (see hurricane preparation)
  • Home opening before you arrive: AC on, fridge stocked, beds made

Home Watch FAQs

What’s the difference between home watch and property management?

Home watch means visiting and inspecting an empty home and reporting on its condition. Property management usually also covers renting it out. We offer both, and you can use home watch on its own.

Do you need a key to my home?

For interior checks, yes. We keep keys or lockbox codes securely and only use them for agreed visits. Exterior-only security checks don’t need a key.

What happens if you find a problem?

We contact you the same day with photos and a recommended fix. With your approval, we arrange a trusted local tradesperson and supervise the work.

How will I receive my reports?

By email after every visit, with photos of anything worth noting.

Can you check my home after a hurricane?

Yes. Once it’s safe to travel, we inspect storm-affected homes as a priority and send a photo report you can use for insurance claims.
